To determine the size the the urn you use, a after cremation, a 1 pound of pre-cremation weight equals about 1 cubic inch of ash
The urn is approximately 9 inches tall, and 7 inches wide and deep. The urn will comfortably hold up to 240 cubic inches of ash.
Ashes should remain in the plastic bag they come in from the crematorium. The bottom of the urn is held on with four small screws and is padded with 4 cork feet to prevent scratching of surfaces.
